Some people choose a natural human hair wig as a Halloween wig, but most prefer affordable synthetic wigs. Fortunately, no one will know the difference between your super cheap synthetic wig and virgin human hair wig. If you follow the suggestions below for how to make your Halloween wig look real!

1. Boiling Curls

Boiling the hair might sound crazy, but we promise rolling foam curls into your synthetic wig and boiling it in water for three to ten seconds to give it the perfect beach wave. Let the wig dry and fluff it out for natural, soft curls.

2. Reduce the Shine

As we all know, synthetic hair is shinny than virgin human hair, so we need to do something to reduce the shine on the synthetic fiber, which will give a much more natural look. There are many ways to kill the shines of cheap synthetic wigs. We can use acrylic paint, but that needs to be washed after the processing.

Is there another way to kill the shine? Meetu Hair recommends sprinkling baby powder on the wig and running it through with your fingers to help dull it just enough to look natural.

3. Pump Up The Texture

Highlighting the texture of the hair can also make it looks much more realistic. So when you are styling your costume wig for Halloween, you can do this easy step to make your wig looks better. Using a blow-dry, a blast of texturizing spray, and some roughing up.

4. Add Volume & Movement

It is no doubt that virgin human hair is more movement than a synthetic one, what is we must admit. So we need to learn how to add volume and slight waves to the wig to make it looks more like a human hair wig. We need a pair of scissors to cut in subtle layers and then use a curling iron on its lowest setting to roll it a bit.

5. Put It On Correctly

The installation of a natural-looking wig requires skills. It is unrealistic to expect that the wig you put on randomly will give you a surprisingly natural look. So if you are not good at installing the wig by yourself, you can ask your friends or a professional hairstylist to install it for you.

Team Meetu Hair hopes you have an amazing Halloween costume and have fun on Halloween!

Why Do We Carve Pumpkins On Halloween?

We're sure many of you have carved the gruesome face into a pumpkin and displayed it in your front window or porch during the season of Halloween. Pumpkins have been a staple of Halloween, perhaps even a symbol for the spookiest night of the year. But have you ever wondered why the carving of a pumpkin is for display? It seems like a pretty random thing to do. However, if we trace it back through history, we can see how this particular practice took shape and how it evolved into what it is now.

The carving of vegetables is a lot more common than you might think. For example, the Maori of the Maori tribes would use gourds to carve lanterns, a tradition that has taken place for the past seven hundred years. Interestingly enough, the Maori word "Gourd" can also use to describe a lampshade.
It is believed that the customer using pumpkins began in Ireland back in the 19th century. At that time, people in Gaelic areas often used turnips and candles as lanterns and painted grotesque faces on fruits and vegetables to scare people during Halloween.
Halloween was also the festival of soul. In a festival that marked the end of the harvest and also the beginning of winter. It was seen as a time with supernatural beings, and the souls of the dead roamed the earth.
These lanterns represented the supernatural creatures that appeared on Halloween night at that moment. Additionally, they were used as a protective talisman to ward off evil spirits.
In other cases, Lanterns are carved with grotesque faces, used to scare away unwanted neighbors, and sometimes sit on the windowsill to prevent potential intruders. It is also suggested that the lantern originally represented the Christian soul locked in infernal, reminding people that if they are not loyal to God, their fate will be the same.
Hopkins is also popular because of literature. The most famous is Washington Irving's short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." This story depicts a headless horseman with a pumpkin in place of his head.
You may have also heard of pumpkins referred to as jack-o'-lanterns, a term that originated from an 18th-century Irish folklore tale about a man named stingy Jack. Jack was a lazy blacksmith who was lazy while was smart enough to con the devil once. Jack has deceived Satan and ripped him off his power with the cross and trapping him. Finally, Jack lets Satan go free, but only after Satan agrees never to take his soul away.
Many years later, when Jack died, he was denied entry into heaven given his sinful ways and was sent down to hell. However, when he arrived in hell, Satan wanted nothing to do with Jack. Therefore, Jack was is forbidden to enter hell. He had nowhere to go and was cursed to roam the earth.

Satan tossed Jack a lump of burning coal to light his way as he roamed the earth for eternity. Jack carved out a turnip, for which he placed the coal inside to use as a makeshift lantern, wandering to search for a final resting place. It's this entity that would become known as the Jack of the lantern or simply jack-o'-lantern.
We hope you guys enjoyed the blog and learned a bit about why we use pumpkins at Halloween. Anyway, Meetu Hair takes this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Halloween! Try not to mess with the occult stuff too much; stay safe out there. Trick-or-treaters, until the next time.

1. Recognize the basic types

There are mainly synthetic hair wigs and human hair wigs in the hair market. Usually, the human hair wig is much expensive than a wig made of synthetic fiber. The price of human hair wigs is varied with the size of the lace as well. For example, 360 laces wigs and lace front wigs are more expensive than a lace closure wig. Because they show almost the same as our natural hair, you can look for them on Meetu Hair.

To make better choices. You need to be clear about yourself and decide whether to use it only during carnivals and festivals or if you want to use it on different occasions. If you only want a wig for Halloween night wearing, a cheap synthetic hair wig can meet your needs. However, if you want a wig that can not only use on the carnivals, we highly recommend choosing human hair wigs which are much durable and last longer. You can select a colored wig, but do not choose a hair color that is too exaggerated and unusual, then it will be more practical in daily life, we can not only use it for festive but also in daily.

2. Stylizing it and maintain a good condition

Nobody wants to wear a messy wig, so please take appropriate care of your wig, whether it is a human hair wig or a synthetic hair wig.

3. It should be suitable for your costume

Match the wig with your costume. It should be authentic, and of course, scary if you will use it on Halloween. How to choose depends on what effect you want.

You can be a witch with messy hair, or you can choose a more elegant and fashionable hairstyle because we all know that everything is allowed that night. Try to match it with your costume because no one believes that a terrible witch will have a charming hairstyle, and vice versa.

Remember, Halloween is for fun. You don't need to put in too much effort to look fashionable or scary. The most important thing is to wear a suit that makes you feel comfortable.

Tips and Tricks to Rock Your Halloween Wig

Wigs are great ways to transform our look. If you have a perfect Halloween fancy dress costume, you will also want a suitable wig to complete the look. At the Halloween carnival, some tips will make your wig more striking and secure.

1. Be comfortable wearing your wig

The Halloween wig is user-friendly and easy to wear. Whether you want to scare someone or give someone a shock, here is some information that can make you feel comfortable.

When purchasing a wig for your costume, grab a nylon wig cap designed to keep your natural hair in place and add a buffering layer between you and the wig, making it more comfortable. To secure the wig firmly, please added security with a few bobby pins on either side of your ears. Place them through the wig into the cap, crossing them in an X shape.

2. Wear the wig straight out of the bag

Although most costume wigs for Halloween can be worn straight out of the bag, with a bit of fluffing before putting it on will be better.

Take the wig out of the package, turn it upside down and give it a firm shake. Allowing the fibers a little hang time, which can help with any misshaping that occurs in storage. Be careful when handling a synthetic wig. If you hand it for too long, it gets tangled easily.

When the hair is tangled together, comb the wig with a wide-toothed comb to loosen any tangles. Besides, a little moisture spray can work wonders to help remove knots that can occur from overhandling.

3. Fix your wig to add volume

If you want to add some of the volumes on your wig, you can roughen the wig at the base. Matting the wig at the root will add a little lift. To keep the effect, add some hair spray for hold. Do not want to mat your hair? You can increase hair volume by doubling. Try stacking two bundles together. This method works better for curly hair wigs.

4. Hair-thinning tips

A thinner wig or stocking cap can offer sheer perfection without cutting any hair. For some particular look, make sure your hair expose as little as possible. Braid or wrap your hair around your head as close and smooth to your head as possible, then put it under a wig cap.

Want a bald look? Try a stocking cap that closes to your flesh tone, and place it over your hair. If you only want to be bald and have hair on both sides, wear a stocking cap, and add beard or mustache hair. Glue the hair of the beard to the bottom of the sock cap with hair safety glue. Do this on a foam head form and place wax paper or aluminum foil on the base of the head for easier removal. Please pay attention to allow enough drying time.

5. Experiment with colors

Coloring your hair in a salon takes time, effort, and money. Wigs, on the other hand, come in a rainbow of colors. If you do not want to spend time and money on the hair salon, you can start with a white wig and use a color spray to create your desired color. Use a spray safe for hair, and always spray in a well-ventilated area.

Be cautious: your temporary color will fade when you do, so keep it off the clothes and furniture you care about. If you are less patient in coloring your hair, then choose a wig in the base color you desire and some clip-in color hair. It’s quick, easy, and less messy.

Thanks for reading. Team Meetu Hair wishes you a happy Halloween.
